KINTSUGI
Discover the noble art of Kintsugi – the Japanese technique of repairing broken porcelain using lacquer and gold.
Kintsugi is deeply rooted in the philosophy of wabi-sabi, which encourages us to find beauty in things that are humble, authentic, imperfect, and ephemeral.
During the workshop, you’ll learn about the spirit and tradition of Kintsugi, an art form that originated in 15th-century Japan and is still practiced today by Japanese artisans. Step by step, I will guide you through the process of joining broken porcelain pieces using Japanese lacquer and golden powder.
While traditional Kintsugi can take over a month to complete, during this workshop you’ll learn how to create your own repair in just a few hours. All necessary materials, including porcelain to repair, will be provided.
Leave the workshop with your own unique Kintsugi creation.
The workshop will be led by Ewelina SkowroΕska, a visual artist who spent the last 10 years living in Japan.

PAINT CHIPS
Did you ever wonder what happens with leftover paint? Sometimes, we put it back in the bottle; sometimes, we leave it to dry. Then we can break it into small pieces and create colorful paint chips for you to play with! It’s one of the most unpredictable techniques - you arrange dry paint on top of your ceramics and hope it doesn't move when we transfer it to the kiln room! Seems fast and easy? No worries, you’ll have more work - first you need to paint your ceramics really well, so that we don’t need to give an extra layer of glaze.

PAINTING WITH BUBBLES
Bubbles are a wonderfully fun and simple way to decorate mugs, bowls, or plates- both inside and out. During the workshop, we’ll show you how to use this playful technique as a creative background, a decorative accent, or even the main feature on various ceramic forms. Bubble painting doesn’t require precision, delivers quick and surprising results, and is perfect for both kids and adults.

CLAY WORKSHOP FOR KIDS
We invite our youngest painters to a two-part ceramic workshop, where getting your hands dirty can only mean imaginative fun!
π©π¨ August 22nd (Saturday), 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM – during the first session, we will create simple ceramic forms such as bowls, mugs, plates or anything your imagination desires! Under the guidance of an instructor, you will learn selected handbuilding and shaping techniques – we’ll show you tried-and-true methods that allow you to achieve great results even if it’s your first time working with clay.
This session will be held at our second location MALUMIKA in PIECOWNIA: WΕadysΕawa Εokietka 9, 50-243 WrocΕaw.
π©π¨ The second session (painting/glazing workshop) will take place after your pieces have been fired, approximately 2–3 weeks later – the exact date will be arranged individually. You will then decorate your forms with colorful glazes. Your work will then be fired again in the kiln.

ARTISTS & WINE - ceramic painting workshop with wine
Join us for our new "Artists and Wine" workshops and discover the world of art! While enjoying a glass of wine and some snacks, you will create your own painting, drawing inspiration from the distinctive styles of artists such as Pablo Picasso, Piet Mondrian, Vincent van Gogh, and Wassily Kandinsky. SPANISH TILES
We associate Spanish patterns with the sun, beautiful colors and tiles, which, arranged in a mosaic, create beautiful images. During this unique workshop, we will create tiles that, in addition to their decorative function, can also serve as coasters for cups, plates or pots. Patterns ready to be transferred to ceramics will be waiting for you. If you decide that you would like to transfer the patterns of Spanish tiles to a different form, we will also help you with that.

KAWAII DOODLES
Giant eyes, rounded shapes, and simplistic features are hallmarks of one of the cutest forms of art. It's known as "kawaii", coming from the Japanese word for cute, and has been adopted into a subculture that can be found worldwide. At the workshop, we will show you how to paint such cute characters on the ceramic forms. Kawaii doodles are great fun for kids and adults.

LA DOLCE VITA β Italian-Inspired Ceramic Painting Workshop with aperol

GALAXY

This is a very popular motif, often combined not only with planets but also with trees, for example, or as a backdrop for beautiful black-and-white drawings. THE MAGIC OF GLAZES
Join us for another edition of the “magical” glazes workshop. These are pouring glazes, the effect of which will surely surprise you after removing the molds from the kiln. In the first part of the meeting, we will learn about their properties, which ones can be used to paint forms for eating meals and what effects can be achieved. Afterwards we will start painting selected forms, and then we will only have to wait for the final work.

HARVEST FESTIVAL ON CERAMICS - STEP BY STEP PAINTING
Join us for the Ceramic Harvest Festival—a unique ceramics painting workshop inspired by harvest traditions and the richness of late summer! Under the guidance of a local artist, you will learn step-by-step how to decorate ceramics with harvest-themed motifs—such as stalks of grain, sunflowers, poppies, wreaths, pumpkins, and other designs reflecting nature’s bounty and rural traditions. You will discover simple shading and color-blending techniques that give your decorations a warm, rustic feel. WINE WHILE YOU PAINT - ceramic painting workshop with wine
Join us for a special evening full of art and good wine! On Friday, September 11th, we’re hosting a ceramic painting workshop where creative expression meets relaxing vibes – all with a glass of wine in hand. During the workshop, we’ll guide you through both basic and more advanced ceramic painting techniques. Each participant will choose a ceramic piece to decorate – options include mugs, cups, plates, or bowls – up to a value of 120 PLN. You’ll be free to design it your own way, and if you're looking for ideas, we’ve got plenty of inspiration on site.

We invite you to a unique ceramic painting workshop, "Mug with a Surprise!" During the workshop, you'll create your own unique mug, which holds a secret: a ceramic animal of your choice will inhabit its bottom. You can choose and paint your favorite mug inhabitant, and after firing, it will be permanently attached to the vessel. This way, with every sip of tea, coffee, or cocoa, the animal will slowly emerge from the beverage, bringing a smile and a touch of everyday magic. This creative workshop is full of color, fun, and an opportunity to create an object that will delight you long after the workshop ends.

CLAY MOLDING COURSE
Course dedicated to those who wish to start their adventure with clay.
Do you dream of making your own bowl, mug, or plate? Or maybe you have an idea for a unique soap dish or a small tray for your keys?
We invite you to a course where you will learn clay modeling and ceramic decorating techniques from scratch. A generous dose of knowledge and practice will give you an excellent foundation for further developing your skills and creating imaginative ceramic pieces.

This course is intended for adults and teenagers aged 15+, and includes 2 sessions of 3–4 hours each, for a total of 7 hours of workshop time. The course fee covers all materials, tools, and double firing of your pieces. Completed ceramic items become the property of the participant. Works will be stored for up to 30 days after the course ends. We reserve the right to use uncollected works for educational purposes.

CUERDA SECA
Cuerda seca is a traditional method of decorating ceramics originating from Andalusia. It involves drawing the lines of the designed motif with a special mixture that will create the outlines of the pattern. We fill the spaces between the lines with different colored glazes - the previously painted lines separate the glazes and prevent them from mixing. During the workshop, we will show you exactly how it all works and help you implement your artistic ideas. We will have design suggestions for you, but you can also look for inspiration yourself and come with a ready-made design.
Due to the nature of the workshops, the number of places is limited, so please make a reservation as soon as possible.

Frida Kahlo was an exceptional Mexican artist. She was famous for her colorful self-portraits with traditional clothes and flowers in her hair. Her interesting beauty and charisma fascinated both men and women. During the workshop we will try to capture the richness of colors that accompanied Frida's paintings. We will be able to immortalize her figure or a characteristic motif from her painting on ceramics. As always, there will be many techniques and our help at your disposal.
